The Health College was founded in 1990 and it has developed and launched four training programs which did not exist in our country before.
In 2000 the faculty integrated to the University of Debrecen. The Health College Faculty of University of Debrecen has been training professionals for health and social spheres: nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics, health visitors, health care managers, medical diagnostic laboratory analysts, medical research laboratory analysts, social workers.
Working in health care, serving sick and distressed human beings requires not only professional knowledge but also personal dedication for this difficult but magnificent task.

Это учреждение было основано в 1990 году. Цель рснованного факультета – способствовать решению здравоохранительных, социально – политических, професиональных обновлений в районе северной низменности и уменьшать проблемы обеспечения специалистами.
В 1990 году началось образование на факультетах: социального работника, патронажной сестры, в 1991 году на факультете организатора делопроизводства, в 1993 году дипломного санитара, в 1997 году лабораторного аналитика медицинской диагностики, в 1998 году специалиста скорой помощи, а в 1999 году на факультете лечебного гимнаста. Студенты нстнтута проводят свою практику в Областной больнице имени Йоша Андраш.
Факультет поддерживает взаимоотношения с Финландией, Германией, Англией, Италией, Голландией, Австрией, со США и с приграничными странами.

In 2000 the faculty integrated to the University of Debrecen. The higher education at the Health Coleege Faculty of the University of Debrecen are confronted with the claims of the labour market of the region, the requirements of the health profession and the most recent technical and scientific accomplishment.
The Health College Faculty of University of Debrecen has been training professionals for health and social spheres: nurses, physiotherapists, ambulance officers, health visitors, health care managers, medical diagnostic laboratory analysts, medical research laboratory analysts, social workers.
In the academic year of 2006/2007 all of our degree programmes were started as a realization of the Bologna Process which is a profound higher education reform project in Europe and which means that the dual structure (parallel college and university level education) will be replaced by a multicycle, linear education and training structure which provides qualifications at the end of every cycle.
The school provides state and self-financed, full time and part time degree programmes.
Students who take part in the Health Care and Prevention Bachelor Degree Programme can be health visitors, those who are the students of the Health Care Management programme can work in the field of Health Care Administration or Health Insurance.
Students of the Medical Laboratory and Diagnostic Imaging Analysis can specialize in Medical Diagnostic Laboratory Analysis, Medical Research Laboratory Analysis and Diagnostic Imaging Analysis.
Those who take part in Nursing and Patient Care programme can be nurses, ambulance officers, midwives and physiotherapists.
